Early Morning Bird Walks at Caw Caw

Our trek through many distinct habitats will allow us to view and discuss a variety of birds, butterflies, and other organisms. A paid chaperone is required for participants ages 15 and under. Registration is not required.

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is a gentle practice of traditional yoga poses performed while sitting in a chair or using a chair for support when standing. The practice improves range of motion, reduces stress and pain, and increases overall sense of well-being. Open to all fitness levels.

Explore former rice fields and walk through the steps required for the cultivation of rice using reproduction artifacts. The Caw Caw Interpretive Center contains a variety of Lowcountry habitats known for their beauty and wildlife. Join a naturalist to explore a cypress/tupelo swamp, freshwater marsh, saltwater marsh, bottomland hardwood forest, and more. Eagles, turkeys, otters, waterfowl, and more are often observed from the trails at Caw Caw. Registered chaperone required for participants ages 15 and under.

Where the Wild Things Run/Walk 5K

Saturday, March 4, 8:30 a.m. race start

Caw Caw Interpretive Center

Walkers, joggers, and runners are invited to explore their wild side on the scenic nature trails at Caw Caw Interpretive Center. The 5K trail run and walk starts at 8:30 a.m., and an award ceremony with local food and beverages will be held immediately afterward. Kids' activities for ages 6-12 will keep children entertained throughout the morning. Online registration will end March 3 at 3 p.m. but will be available on site if space permits. Fee: $34/$28 CCR Discount/$34 on-site/$22 for Move IT! Pass members
